The Hollywood Sign is an iconic structure in Los Angeles, representing fame, fortune, and the massive film and television industry that defines the city. Originally erected in 1923 (yes, it’s 101 years old in 2024!) as an advertisement for an upscale housing development called “Hollywoodland,” a 50-foot-tall white letters and stretched 450 feet long, it has since become a worldwide symbol of Hollywood’s imagination. In 1949, the last four letters (“LAND”) were removed, leaving it as the iconic “HOLLYWOOD” sign we know today. The allure of Hollywood lies in its glittering reputation as the entertainment capital of the world. 🌟🎬
