A journey though time indeed. Years ago, my boyfriend and I went to this state park. Now that we have a four-year-old daughter, we wanted to go back with her, reminisce our memories, and show her the dinosaur models in the heart of the park while we were traveling in Texas. The Dinosaur Valley State Park Dinosaur models were featured at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair.

The best time to see these tracks is during dry periods when the water levels are low. Few months ago, these tracks were visible, but during this visit, the river water is deep enough that it covers the tracks. However, on our first time visiting the state park, we did see some tracks, and we even crossed the river, albeit, ever slowly since the current was strong – those things we do when we were young!

The last time we were here though, I got scared of whatever was it that was messing with us making weird sounds at dusk. We had a primitive walk-in campsite. So, we ended going to the hotel at night and returning the next day. It was probably nothing but now it was a memory we can laugh at.
